FOR THE BOXER BOUNCE MEETUPS
We want all our dogs and owners to be safe. Be sure that your dog is friendly to both other dogs and humans.
Dogs must be fully vaccinated and preferably be spayed or neutered (if not, please use good judgment in your dog's behavior). Do not bring your dog if she is in heat!
Do not bring puppies younger than 4 months of age.
Owners must be in full control of their dogs at all times. Watch your dog! Your dog is your responsibility and you must watch him/her/them at all times and keep them from harassing other park members and their dogs. If you bring multiple dogs, you must be able to watch and control all of them. You are responsible for your dog's actions.
We ask that socialized, friendly boxers attend the meetups. Do not allow your dog to intimidate or dominate another dog. If your dog is aggressive or repeatedly demonstrates dominant behaviors we will expect you to remove your dog. You are welcome to return; and your dog is welcome to return after some behavior training. BTW - The dog that defends itself against being harassed is not the aggressor; the dog doing the harassing is. Even if it is in play, if another dog doesn't like what your dog is doing - stop him or her from doing it immediately.
Read: 1) Dog Park Etiquette http://www.whole-dog-... 2) He Just Wants to Say Hi http://www.livingwith...
It is your responsibility to know and follow the rules of the off leash parks you attend.
Please ask a dog's owner before giving out treats; many dogs have sensitive stomachs and/or allergies you may not be aware of.
Pick up your poop! Most parks supply poop bags but bring your own and bring water.
Any members involved in inappropriate behavior, whether it's on the message board, or at the meetups, can be removed from the group at the sole discretion of the Organizer. If a dog is out of control during a meetup, the owner and dog can be asked to leave the meetup by the Organizer and could result in being removed from the group. You know your dog's behavior best. Members are always welcome to attend meetups with or without their dogs. If the Organizer does not attend a meetup but it is reported to the Organizer that a dog was out of control, that member will receive a warning letter.
